2013 Day 127/365 – The moment you realise…

That this is your marriage.. That this is the person who’s going to age alongside you.. AND you’re okay with it.. I guess that’s where I am at the moment.. I wanted change, we had some ups and downs but now we’re back on track..

It’s a totally different relationship now that we own the restaurant but somehow, it seems more relaxed, atleast when he’s not going all Gordon Ramsey on me… He still forgets about date night. He still puts work first but that comes with the “married to a chef” life, which I freely chose. I’m helping him live his dream.. And I think he’s happier now, so in turn it eases our relationship a bit more.

So here’s to marriage and old age and WDH was i thinking.. mwahaha

I’m tired of being stuck in the house. It seems like all i do is paperwork, then head off to the restaurant.. I need to start shooting outside again..

This was actually a thought out shot.. liked the colors’ loved the writing that came from duckie’s beak.. I really wish I had a photography job.. (just saying)

2013 Day 125/365 – Sauteed Dandelions

Yes, I know, it should be a post about Cinco de Mayo.. But by the time I got around to having my margarita, I didn’t have my camera and wasn’t in the mood.. I was having too much fun.

So I shall tell you the story of sauteed dandelions. Not too many people I know eat it. Dandelions are quite delicious. My hubby keeps wanting to stop at the side of the road and pick some.. Ewwwww!! that’s what supermarkets are for.. hahaha!

Okay this was a silly post.. thank goodness it’s a kinda decent photo.

2013 Day 123/365 – I survived Prom

Well this is a treat for all you guys and gals.. Been on Twitter for a very long time and have never posted a photo of myself or my daughter.. But here she is!!! My little one is little no more..

But more importantly, I survived Prom. All the crazy stories I hear and I have to say the entire day went very well.. I was so proud of her. She looked absolutely beautiful.

PS: She is a mini me, so in essence, if you figure out which one is her, you kinda know what I look like now. LOL

Hanging with @Traceyctt this week.. It’s so wonderful for me. I love feeding off other’s passion for the arts. I get inspired again.. Today I took her to Socrates Park in Astoria. We stumbled upon a new art installation, one of which was Sol LeWitt piece..

She was uber excited and we both participated in drawing a really really really loooong line. haha

Darn it!! Two insects in a row.. Oh well, atleast i’m true to my shots. This was my photo for the day.. It’s been busy. Hubby brought me a dead bee, so it now sits in a cup on the counter, so I can include in my photograph.. Don’t you love how romantic he can be?

Not much else going on.. Need to go on a walkabout soon.. missing outdoor photography..

Yeah!! That caught my attention also.. I snapped this photo, in hind sight, wishing I had placed a coin next to it to give perspective.. Decided to Google “mosquito” for some interesting facts to add to blog post, then came upon “Mosquito Hawk” or Crane Fly.

THis thing was huge.. Imagine that sucking on your blood. I’m guessing i’d need a tranfusion. LOL
