It was a Dark and Stormy Night in New York

I love that line….
I am no writer!!
I think this is why I absolutely enjoy Twitter and Blogging. NO COMMITMENT to word count…
I always start stories to my daughter with “it was a dark and stormy night”, even if it was not a scary story. She came to expect something fun after it was said..
The phrase “It was a dark and stormy night”, made famous by comic strip character Snoopy in Peanuts, was originally penned by Victorian novelist Edward Bulwer-Lytton, in the beginning of his 1830 novel Paul Clifford.
“It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents, except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets (for it is in London that our scene lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness.”

Just a random Friday Post by me because of photo taken last night 😀

Have a great weekend
